Melanoma Pictures Pictures Of Melanoma Skin Cancer |

I've had two Basal Cell Carcinoma skin cancers removed and recently had another the lab called a possible Melanoma Cancer removed. (Far right picture before removal.) It was first termed an abnormal mole but may come back from the lab results as Melanoma. I thought it would be good to publish some pictures of Melanoma Cancer pictures in case anyone is wondering what these look like in early stages or late stages. Usual treatment is excision which is where they use a local on the spot to kill any pain (it works) during the procedure. Then they remove the entire possible Melanoma cancer from the area and stitch up the skin in the area. For two weeks you may feel minor discomfort and tightness but to remove the Melanoma it is entirely worth the hassle. |
Below photo is the spot after my excision. Since the excision was oval shaped a line type stitch was done and taped over. Stiches are removed after two weeks. The mole did come back with Melanoma cells but all were successfully removed.
During the removal of my Melanoma the area was numbed with a local anesthetic. Lots of small pricks with a needle around the area. No real pain after the first prick and from then on the area around my Melanoma felt like a piece of wood. |
My Melanoma Picture Caught Early And Removed With Excision
I didn't watch the surgery to perform the Melanoma excision but the doctor cut an oval around the cancer including some healthy area. Then it was burned to stop the bleeding and then stitched up. No pain or discomfort during the surgery and only minor discomfort as it is now healing. I'll try and take some pictures once my dressing is removed. The stitches come out in two weeks. |
